Today, the idea has been realized...

Established in 2004, The FunKtion, Ottawa Ontario Canada's, Premiere R&B, Funk and Soul Show Band, pays tribute to the great entertainers and musicians, of the early Motown, Stax, Philadelphia Soul and Funk era.

The FunKtion pays tribute to the likes of Al Green, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Mavis Staples, Sam & Dave,  Stevie Wonder, Sly & The Family Stone,  The Isley Brothers, The O'Jays, The Supremes, Wilson Pickett and many more legendary artists of this era.
